Keeping Christ the Main Focus

  1 Timothy 1:14-17   The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.  Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.  But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.  Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Looking at the Positives of what Christ has done for us

 I love reading Charles Haddon Spurgeon.  From my early days as a young believer, I came across Spurgeon - who pastored in London, England, in the mid to late 19th century.  His spiritual reflections were a significant part of my own young growth in Christ, and I have read his writings for these fifty years of my walk with Christ.  Here's an example of why I love him so much. Look at the Positives The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad. Psalm 126:3 Some Christians are sadly prone to look on the dark side of everything, and to dwell more upon what they have gone through than upon what God has done for them.
